Privacy Policy
WiZMe (“we”, “us”) helps you meet people who are genuinely nearby, in the real world. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We designed WiZMe to share as little as possible: your exact location is never shared with other users, and nearby discovery uses a temporary, rotating token rather than your identity.
What we collect

| Bluetooth proximity signal | To detect nearby users who are “Open.” Broadcast as a rotating temporary token, not your identity. |
| Account and device identifiers | To operate the service, sync your data, and deliver notifications. |
| Content you create | Messages (visible only after a mutual connection), Moments, and reports you submit. |
How we use it
We use your data solely to run WiZMe: to sign you in, show nearby people when you are Open, enable mutual connections and chat, deliver notifications, and keep the community safe. We do not sell your data, and we do not track you across other apps or websites for advertising.
Push notifications
With your permission, we send notifications about connections, messages, and Moments through Apple Push Notification service (via Firebase Cloud Messaging). You can turn these off in iOS Settings.
Service providers
We use Google Firebase (authentication, database, messaging) to operate the app. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.
Your choices & rights
- Grant or revoke camera, photo, location, and Bluetooth permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
- Block or report any user from within the app.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your profile and associated content.
Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile and associated content, except where we must retain limited records for legal or safety reasons.
Children
WiZMe is not intended for anyone under 17. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
